This is a client and dear friend of mine, Elizabeth Ridley! She opened her amazing business awhile back — super quietly because she already had enough clients with friends right off the bat! But finally, after much badgering on my part 🤣, she is now open to 2–5 new clients in 2023.

I HIGHLY recommend Elizabeth. If her work resonates with you, or makes you think of someone personally in your life you’d like to share her work with, please do! She is wonderful. ~Alex

Hello friends and friends of friends 🙂,

Some of you asked if I would share my business details and I was waiting until I had more availability to send my information out. I can take in an additional 2–5 clients this new year, so I wanted to put the word out to my amazing networks of like-minded souls that my service is available. So, if you feel like you would like to start 2023 by organizing your life? Then read on…

What is Elizabeth’s “Lighter Life Co.?”

In the bluntest terms — I help people “get shit done.” I offer a confidential, non-judgemental, supportive, and comforting space to work through tasks that are weighing you down. Honestly, I believe working through these tasks are as important to wellbeing as therapy or exercise.

I provide help in the form of information, assistance, accountability, tools, and support. Put another way, I help people:

  1. Identify what they need to do.
  2. Create a plan of how to do it.
  3. Help them get it done (the hardest part).

Over the last few years, I spent many hours in conversation with people who have successful and productive lives BUT who feel burdened by the mundane tasks in their lives that are on their to-do list. Some of these tasks may seem relatively unimportant given the amount of demands we face on our time or, they are tasks that make us uncomfortable, embarrassed, afraid, confused, or just plain bored out of our minds!

For example,

  • “None of my files and photos are backed up or organized”
  • “I need to work from home, but my office is full of boxes of old papers that need to be filed”
  • “I would like to organize and update all my important documents”
  • “I wish all my bills were online and automated”
  • “I don’t know what I would I do if my partner got sick as she/he organizes and pays all our bills and has all the passwords?”
  • “I would like to talk to someone about my personal affairs who is unbiased and can help me make some plans”
  • “I don’t have a will or POA and I know I should hire a lawyer”
  • “I have no idea what kind of insurance I have if someone in our family got sick? Is it enough? Is it up to date?
  • “I want to collect benefits, but I haven’t filed my taxes and need to find an accountant”
  • “I think I would feel better about my finances if I had a budget”
  • I would just like to have space (in confidence) to work through some complex administrative matters in my life”
  • Etc. etc. etc.!!!!!

I started this business a few years ago when I realized I could combine my background as a social psychologist with many years of administrative experience in the non-profit sector to help people. I am strangely exhilarated by things that some people find excruciatingly boring and tiresome. I get excited about spreadsheets and budgets, planning and organizing and breaking down large amorphous projects into manageable tasks. I also realized that helping people in this unique way is my real life’s purpose and maybe even my superpower in this life…

I offer free consultations to ensure that there is a good fit between a client’s needs and my resources. After that I charge $95/hour for meetings with supporting resources as needed. In the past, I have helped clients via zoom, telephone, and in person so we can work together in any modality that feels right to you.

Do you feel burdened with your to-do list? Do you feel like everyone you know has their “shit together” and you are floundering with unfinished business and mundane things that you need to do or “should have done”? If any of these questions resonate for you or anyone you know, please share my contact information and website.
